Lenovo Yoga C630 Drivers – If you keep up to date with the Lenovo Intel based Yoga line, then C630 Yoga will seem very familiar. In short, Qualcomm inside doesn’t mean dramatic changes abroad, and that’s a good thing. C630 Yoga adapts to the attractive and conservative aesthetics of Lenovo, with a dark grey scheme that is not affected by any shine. The Asus Novague is a 2 in 1 Qualcomm-based which stands out a little more with some chrome accents on the hinge and edges.
Even better, the C630 Yoga also maintains the inclination of the line by the quality of solid construction. It is an aluminum laptop with zero bending or bending on the top, the keyboard platform or the chassis. It also feels solid in hand, as is its most expensive and Intel-based cousin, Yoga C930. In fact, C630 Yoga is stiffer than other 2-in-1 competitors like the HP Spectre x360 13 and Lenovo’s own Yoga 730, and Clamshells as the Dell XPS 13. Counting on the difference in the size of the screen, the Yoga C630 feels much like a miniature version of the C930.
You will also like the dimensions of C630 Yoga. It is about the same size as the Yoga 730, although it is a little thinner at 0.51 inches compared to 0.55 inches. It’s also almost exactly as heavy, 2.6 pounds versus 2.62 pounds. Compared to the x360 Specter of 0.54 inches and 2.78 pounds, C630 Yoga feels a little bit smaller. Generally speaking we would love to see a version of Windows 10 of this form factor: it has the right size for a 2 in 1 and it is a pleasure to take it with you.
Connectivity is a little limited in two USB-C Gen 1 ports, and only one provides power supply. Along with the Nano SIM card for LTE support, we tested and worked very well to keep connected no matter where we went, there is only one 3.5 mm audio combo connector. In addition to LTE, wireless connectivity includes 2X2 MU-MIMO 802.11 ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2.
The feeling of the keyboard is another thing that Yoga C630 shares with the rest of the Yoga line. There is the same relatively shallow key mechanism that still manages to be sensitive and accurate. It’s not as good as the much faster keyboards on the Spectre x360 and the XPS 13, but it won’t disappoint tactile typists.
The touch panel is also a pleasure thanks to the Windows precision controllers and is compatible with all the usual Windows 10 gestures. The surface of the touch panel provides just the right amount of tactile feedback and feels comfortable when sliding and making gestures, and the buttons click very well but they are not too strong. It’s a little bit bigger than the touch panels of the Spectre x360 and XPS 13, which we always appreciate.
Finally, there is the usual touch screen that works well to scroll through web pages and touch the occasional button. The optional Lenovo Pen supports 4,096 levels of pressure and tilt sensitivity, as well as Surface Pro 6, but Lenovo did not include it in our review unit. Windows 10 Hello Password-free login is compatible with a fingerprint scanner on the keyboard console to the right of the touch panel.
C630 Yoga is shipped with the only option, a 13.3-inch Full HD IPS screen (1,920 x 1,080) that is sharp enough for everyone, but is the most dedicated to pixels. It is a good resolution for the size of the panel and did not leave us looking forward to a sharper image.
As usual with Windows 10 on ARM laptops, we were unable to submit the screen to our usual colorimeter tests. The support application was not running on the platform, even in Windows 10 Home, so we rely on our extensive real-life tests to see how well the text shows, plays the video and shows the color and vitality of the images.
In a word, let’s call this an average screen. Brightness, contrast and colors combined to provide approximately the same experience as with other 2 in 1 as the Specter x360 and Yoga C930. That makes it a good one, but not a big screen for productivity work, and it’s probably insufficient if your workflow requires highly accurate colors and a wide range of colors. If you want a laptop with Windows 10 on your arm with the best screen, then the Samsung Galaxy Book 2 equipped with AMOLED is a much better choice.
See video, a common task 2 in 1, was nice enough. We did not perceive that the gamma was off, so the shows were neither too clear nor too dark for our eyes.
