Lenovo Thinkpad T480s Driver – The Lenovo ThinkPad represents one of the most iconic lines of laptops ever made, and is specifically targeted at people who want great performance and robust construction quality. Lately, however, a lot of other machines that offer as much or more value have exerted real pressure on the brand. Enter the ThinkPad T480s, which is located next to the X1 Carbon to present a vision for ThinkPad level businesses without the fine and light focus.

We analyzed a low-end ThinkPad T480 configuration, with an eighth-generation Intel Core i7-8550U CPU, 8GB of RAM, a 256 GB PCIe Solid state Drive (SSD), and a 14-inch touch screen. This configuration reaches $1.700 (for sale at this time by $1.360), although it can increase up to $2.665.

The ThinkPad T480 is not cheap, not particularly small or light, and competes directly with your sister, the X1 Carbon. Do you bring enough to give him an advantage?

Lenovo Thinkpad T480s Driver – You can identify a ThinkPad throughout the room, and the ThinkPad T480s is no different. It features the same jet black exterior with a bright red “i ” like any other ThinkPad. When you open it, you will find the well-known black keys with white letters that surround the usual TrackPoint red ballpoint pen and an extra set of buttons. If you prefer the ThinkPad look, you will be greeted by family aesthetics. However, the days have passed when the ThinkPad was the only laptop with a different look. For example, Microsoft Surface Book 2, Dell XPS 13 and MacBook Pro have a unique visual identity that we like, and even prefer the ThinkPad.

The ThinkPad T480 also maintains the typical approach of the line in providing a robust construction quality. There is the usual adherence to MIL-STD-810G specification for durability and protection against elements, and materials feel good in hand and evoke confidence in the ability of the laptop to withstand some falls. But the lid is a little more flexible than we’d like, and the ThinkPad T480 doesn’t seem to be in a different class against competitors like the MacBook Pro, XPS 13 and the Huawei MateBook X Pro.

Compared to the ThinkPad X1 Carbon, the T480 is quite thick with 0.73 inches thick (compared to 0.62 inches), and weighs 2.9 lbs (compared with 2.49 lbs). That also makes it much larger than the XPS 13 and thicker than the MateBook X Pro, but it is still competitive with Surface Book 2 with its great fulcrum hinge.

Lenovo Thinkpad T480s Driver – One of the advantages of being a bit thicker and bigger than the competition is that it offers dramatically improved connectivity. The ThinkPad T480s is an excellent example because it includes a lot of connections and supports the innovative USB-C side docking stations from Lenovo. Outside the box, the ThinkPad T480s has a USB-C Gen 1 port, two USB-to 3.0 ports, one USB-C with Thunderbolt 3, one full-size HDMI port, one Gigabit Ethernet port, one SD card reader and one optional smart card reader. Uf. And then there’s the typical 3.5 mm and 2 × 2-Radio MU-MIMO Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 combined audio connector. That’s all that’s important for business people, who will appreciate never having to carry dongles or adapters with them.

It’s not just the look and feel of ThinkPad that are so iconic. They are also the input options that identify a machine as a member of that line. It all starts with the keyboard, and the ThinkPad T480s shines the new ThinkPad Island keyboard style with the usual sculpted and backlit gum keys (two levels of brightness). The switching mechanism provides deep travel and rapid response, but also requires more pressure than normal.

If you like a lot of comments during writing, you’ll probably love this keyboard. However, some people may find it more tiring than, say, the much lighter touch of keyboards on the Dell XPS 13 and even the ThinkPad X1 Carbon. It was difficult for us to adjust after using so many keyboards that require a lighter touch.

The touch panel is a good size, even considering the additional buttons to accommodate the typical TrackPoint ballpoint pen (more about this in a moment), and Lenovo intelligently placed the fingerprint reader off the touch panel. It’s a precision touchpad from Microsoft, and as with all these designs, we found it receptive with a reliable support for the Windows 10 multi-touch gestures. We are delighted to see that the MacBook line no longer has that advantage over Windows touch panels.
