Lenovo IdeaPad S340 Drivers for Windows 10

Lenovo IdeaPad S340 Drivers – Lenovo will offer Intel or AMD versions of the IdeaPad S340, although it has not yet included the AMD CPU model list. As for Intel, you can configure the Lenovo IdeaPad S340 with an Intel Core i7-8565 of eight-generation 1.8 GHz. The S340 can be equipped with a maximum of 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of PCIe SSD. For starters, it can be a cheap laptop, but a Lenovo S340 with all internal settings will be an expensive device.

The IdeaPad S340 has a plastic structure with interlaced carbon fiber threads. However, I really wouldn’t know that looking at the device, which is a shame, is not that we expect a suitable carbon fiber at this price.

In theory, it makes the plastic stronger, but the S340 has an aluminum finish on the top, which is good.

This laptop is not particularly thin or light, but Lenovo still calls it ‘ ultrathin ‘. With a thickness of 17.9 mm We wouldn’t say this fits with that description. Part of the design makes the S340 look thin, but it’s an illusion.

The 14-inch model measures 1.69 kg, while the 15-inch pattern jumps to 1.8 kg. Again, they are not headlines, but it is an economic laptop.

We like the keyboard (optionally backlit) that has a feeling of elasticity and responsiveness, although some annoying keys in some places. The trackpad is not as good and seems fluffy and does not respond.

The number of ports offered here makes it a little bit of a load when you get two USB-A ports, a full-size USB-C port, a separate power input, headphone jack, and SD card reader.

A new design feature is the TrueBlock privacy shutter, which allows you to physically cover the webcam in case you feel the need. This has fallen from the ThinkPad range.

That kind of selection is rare these days, but if you hate the idea of being forced to use a USB-C dongle, the S340 will be a real blessing.

We take a look at the Sand Pink model, but you can also get the S340 on Onyx Black, Abyss Blue and Platinum Gray.

Lenovo IdeaPad S340 Drivers – The display has 20 percent smaller bevels than before and you can choose between a size of 14 or 15.6 inches. They will come in HD or Full HD with optional touch and IPS.

Our sample we saw looked good, but the viewing angles were poor and with a maximum of 250 nits the screen is not very bright. This could be the biggest drop in the laptop.

As we mentioned, there will be Intel and AMD versions of the IdeaPad S340. The headline is that you get the eighth generation Intel Core i7-8565U with the GPU Nvidia GeForce MX250 or up to AMD Ryzen 7 3700U with graphics Radeon RX Vega 10.

There will also be a Core i3, Core i5 and some models with integrated graphics.

Lenovo IdeaPad S340 Drivers – The storage is a little more complex, although with SSD of 128, 256 or 512 GB, although only the model of AMD will have the largest option. There are also hybrid drives with 128 GB plus 1 or 2 TB.

Either way, upgrading to an SSD is a good sign and will mean faster performance for users.

Considering the screen, the processor, the memory and the storage, there could be infinite combinations of specifications. What will really come is still to be seen and will be greatly reduced to retailers, so we will have to wait and see.

As far as the battery is concerned, the AMD model will offer up to eight hours and Intel gets up to 10. The new RapidCharge technology means that you reportedly get a 80% load in just one hour.

There are two sizes of Lenovo S340, with 14 and 15-inch screens available. Lenovo has not revealed the price difference between them, which seems like an unusual tactic as the user experience will not be significantly altered by the size increase. However, an optional touch screen can only be equipped with the 15-inch configuration. The screens work with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080.

The IdeaPad S340 is a nice looking device and, more importantly, is affordable despite the high-end features. Lenovo says it puts emphasis on bringing the technology of the “most desirable” products to the low-end lines. One of those innovations is the Web camera security shutter that was initially introduced on the ThinkPad line. There is also the option to add dedicated graphics NVIDIA MX 250, which is not a common feature on a laptop with such a low starting price: The IdeaPad S340 spec base starts at €549. UK prices have not yet been confirmed, but that cost will increase with each additional feature.

Cheap laptops often give away their nature through thick and ugly designs and low-quality materials, but the IdeaPad S340 looks pretty good. It is light and sturdy, although it is not made of metal. Instead, Lenovo has opted for a hybrid carbon fiber-reinforced plastic chassis. The “Hand touch ” is not as nice as a metal alloy laptop, but it doesn’t feel as cheap as an ultra-economical Chromebook. By the way, Lenovo also had one of those on display as well. I’m a big fan of the color “Rosa arena ” of the Lenovo S340, as shown in my photos, and there is also a nice finish “royal blue ” to choose from.

The IdeaPad S340 has a standard array of ports. On the left edge is a full-size HDMI port, a C-type USB jack and a 3.5 mm audio connector in addition to the power port. On the right there are two USB 3.0 sockets and an SD card reader. That’s the integral connectivity for a mid-level laptop and it must meet the requirements of most people.

Compared to the large headline products revealed at MWC 2019, the Lenovo IdeaPad S340 and its most expensive siblings are not breaking borders. However, it is difficult not to be conquered by the impressive personalization in such a low priced device in comparison. As mentioned, Lenovo predicts that the IdeaPad S340 will be the most popular IdeaPad device in 2019 and it’s easy to see why. It’s cheap, cheerful and can be transformed into a much more powerful device if that’s what the customer is looking for.

The exact launch dates have not yet been announced in the UK, but the Lenovo IdeaPad S340 will be released at the end of April 2019, as is the IdeaPad S540 and the IdeaPad C340. Again, UK prices are not known, so we will have to wait and see on that front. The IdeaPad S340 is likely to start at £549 based on the price of €549. As for the most advanced configurations with discrete graphics, RAM 12GB and an Intel Core i7-8565 CPU, I can only guess, but I won’t.
